Our dog, Penny, loves the winter weather. When we have taken her out for walks during the last few days she has reveled in the snow that blankets New Albany. She begins by charging out into the snow in the yard and taking a few big gulps of the snow. As we walk, she likes to romp in the deeper snow, to sink her muzzle into the snowbanks, to race through the prinstine drifts, and to carefully sniff and consider every sharp smell she detects in the brisk winter air — especially if doing so requires her to move deeper into the snow.
In the snow, Penny is in her element.
